DEHN at A+A 2013

From November 5 to 8, DEHN will demonstrate its competence for safety equipment at the international trade fair for occupational health and safety (A + A) in Düsseldorf (hall 7A, booth D15).
Numerous practical applications and solutions will underline the company’s broad range of products, protective devices and equipment.
A lecture on “Tested personal protective equipment against the thermal effects of an arc fault for working on electrical installations” in the innovation park as well as the participation in a fashion show in the outdoor exhibition area in front of hall 4 (FG04-1) will round off DEHN’s trade fair presence.

DEHNcareAt A+A 2013, the international expert for surge protection, lightning protection and safety equipment will showcase numerous safety devices and solutions. This year’s focus will be on the active arc fault protection system for low-voltage switchgear DEHNarc and the personal protective equipment for passive arc fault protection DEHNcare®. This personal protective equipment reliably protects workers from the thermal effects of arc faults whilst working on electrical installations.

“Our arc-fault-tested protective clothing DEHNcare® and our portfolio of active protection systems such as DEHNarc ensure a safe environment for workers exposed to arc faults since arc faults cannot be completely excluded during live working on electrical installations“, Rainer Ziehmer, Product Manager for Safety Equipment at DEHN and booth manager, explains.

The fast and harmonised interaction of the components of the mobile arc fault protection system DEHNarc consisting of an optical detection system, control device and short-circuiter unit ensures minimum disconnection times in low-voltage switchgear in case of arc faults. This preventive measure protects persons from the fatal consequences of an arc fault and prevents damage to the installation, downtime as well as the resulting costs.

The personal protective equipment DEHNcare® is tested to international standards. The complete equipment consists of a safety helmet with integrated arc-fault-resistant face shield made of nanoparticles, gloves and a protective suit (trousers and jacket) or a protective coat made of leather and neoprene and provides maximum protection and excellent wearing comfort.

DEHN offers a wide spectrum of safety devices including earthing and short-circuiting devices, voltage detectors, switching sticks, fuse tongs, insulating sticks and earthing sticks. The safety devices and equipment are tested and manufactured in line with the requirements of applicable standards.

The personal protective equipment DEHNcare® will be presented at the DEHN booth (hall 7A, booth D15) and in a 30-minute fashion show in the outdoor exhibition area in front of hall 4 (FG04-1) which will take place on 5 and 7 November at 12.00 p.m. and 4 p.m. as well as on 6 and 8 November at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
A lecture on “Tested personal protective equipment against the thermal effects of an arc fault for working on electrical installations” in the innovation park on 7 November 2013 from 12:10 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. and on 8 November 2013 from 2:10 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. will round off DEHN’s trade fair presence.
