DEHN, Inc. is the USA subsidiary for DEHN SE (ISO 9001/14001 certified). We focus on solutions for lightning and surge-related problems as they apply to the North American market. These solutions include education, technical assistance, system design, risk assessments and site surveys in addition to the lightning and electrical surge protection products.
Our philosophy is to use best practices from the IEC and our experience globally and apply them to the USA IEEE and NEC standards. Job Responsibilities
- Design, implementation, and management of all Accounting and Business Systems activities of the DEHN Inc. with an emphasis on financial reporting, payroll, and management reporting (internal and German Headquarters).
- Ensure policies, procedures, systems, and controls for the recording and reporting of financial operations are adhered.
- Participate in the preparation of month end closing, rolling forecasts, balance sheet reconciliations, profit plan.
- Support the review of financial statements and reports to aid the strategic decision-making process and to remedy any significant problems.
- Implementation and deployment of actions to ensure an adequate environment of internal control. Provide compliance with all applicable statutory requirements.
- Interpret and prepare analysis of operating results versus budgeted plans and forecasts as requested.
- Preparation and implementation of the annual accounts.
- Participation in budget compilation, rolling forecasting, variance analyses processes and associated development of corrective measures.
- Regular bookkeeping tasks.
- Coordination with assigned outside accounting firm for income tax and general tax topics preparation.
- Responsible for local cash management in coordination with group treasury.
- Coordination with external payroll service provide and responsible for internal personnel settings, like tax rates, retirement funds etc.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution.

Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience. Experience in an engineered to order or manufacturing operations facility preferred.

Demonstrated experience and success in performing strategic and tactical requirements (“stratactical”) to build an accounting function.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI).

Proficient with financial reporting systems SAP (Modules FI/CO).

Proficiency in Tagetik and IBM Planning Analytics preferred.

US-GAAP / IFRS; Nice-to-have: German-GAAP (HGB).

Technical knowledge in budgeting, payroll, general accounting, preparation of financial reports, and fixed asset accounting.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
