Press release: DEHNcheck camera brings the invisible to light

The DEHNcheck camera brings the invisible to light and allows safe inspections and easy handling via a radio link to smartphones or tablets. The portable inspection camera can be used for regular visual inspections and for documenting the state of electrical installations up to 36 kV / 15 to 60 Hz. The system can be easily and safely operated by electrically skilled persons via WiFi. Especially practical: The camera can be controlled via an app on smartphones or tablets.

The DEHNcheck camera is an inspection camera for electrically skilled persons which can be easily and intuitively operated. The photos are wirelessly transmitted via WiFi connection. When used in combination with the extendable insulating sticks from DEHN, the camera maintains the required safety distance. The flexible operating head allows to reach and document areas of the installation which are difficult to access. The inspection camera can be used, for example, for quickly and reliably reading the rating plates of electric switches or transformers, detecting broken electrical equipment (e.g. insulators) at an early stage and determining the degree of pollution of parts of electrical installations even in places which are not visible to the eye. If a greater safety distance is required to ensure safe operation, an extension can be easily and quickly attached via the plug-in coupling system.

The installation does not have to be disconnected during testing and thus there is no downtime. In addition, this means less time for the installer. Photos and films can be filed for documentation purposes and important information can be easily and quickly transferred via smartphone or tablet.

The DEHNcheck camera is a complete set supplied in a case. It consists of a camera with battery, USB cable and smartphone attachment, housing, adapter with gear coupling and transport case and can be used for visual inspections of electrical installations with nominal voltages up to 36 kV / 15 to 60 Hz.
