DEHNguard MX Y 20 2000 FM: The new standard for high-voltage solar parks

Ground-mounted PV systems are developing rapidly – higher DC voltages of up to 2,000 V enable more efficient systems and longer strings. As system capacities and sizes increase, so too do the requirements for surge protection.

The DEHNguard MX Y 20 2000 FM is the world's first surge arrester specifically designed for PV systems up to 2000 V – certified as Type 1 CA according to UL 1449 and already adapted to the upcoming IEC requirements for Type 2. The protection device combines compact design, easy installation and maximum protection.

Discover our solution specifically designed to meet the demands of modern high-voltage PV systems.

Electrical installation with multiple red fuses and a white box embossed with '2.000 V' mounted on a metal frame above green grass.

Advantages for you

01
Space-saving

Extremely narrow design of only approx. 2 standard DIN modules – ideal for the often cramped conditions in string boxes and inverters.

02
Robust

The well-designed module arrangement and internal wiring of the MX base part shorten the discharge paths and ensure a particularly low voltage protection level.

03
Money- and-resource-saving

Thanks to the installation-friendly width and only one remote signalling contact for 2 modules.

04
Maintenance-friendly

Arrester status can be easily read via remote signal contact – if a fault occurs, it's quick and simple to replace the pluggable modules.
