BLITZDUCTORconnect protects signalling, control and telecommunications systems for railways
Professional and durable protection concepts are the basis for ensuring that the signalling, control and communication systems for railway operations functions reliably. Protection of interlockings, level crossings, point heaters and FRMCS transmitting and receiving systems is critical.
The universal BLITZDUCTORconnect combined arrester is the ideal solution for this: different product types and device versions cover a wide range of requirements in the railway environment. BLITZDUCTORconnect in the modular version is pluggable and can be monitored remotely. The BLITZDUCTORconnect MVG 230 variant, specially developed for the railway sector, protects signalling, control and telecommunications systems in accordance with the requirements of the German railway guideline DB 819.0808, for example.

secR module locking
A major advantage when it comes to saving time during maintenance is the simple handling thanks to secR module locking. See for yourself in the video:
We will be happy to clear these up in person.
BLITZDUCTORconnect protects according to RIL 819.0808 (German standard)
Guideline 819.0808 describes the planning of lightning and surge protection measures for signalling and control systems and telecommunications in all Deutsche Bahn AG (German Federal Railway) signalling systems.
Maximising signal availability and minimising downtimes – these are the most important tasks of surge protection measures in the railway environment. According to Ril 819.0808, surge protection concepts for signalling, control and telecommunications systems must fulfil very specific requirements. An important requirement: Protective devices must not impair the signalling technology in any way. This means that arresters must be removed or plugged in without influencing the signal circuit. BLITZDUCTORconnect MVG is impedance-neutral. This means that the signal circuit is not affected when pulling or plugging. This arrester therefore fulfils the requirement "non-interaction with signalling technology" in accordance with Ril 819.0808.

Dual protection against surges
Ril 819.0808 requires a protective circuit that protects the sensitive interlocking electronics from transient lightning and overvoltages and controls interference from the overhead contact line.
Circuit design of surge protective devices (SPDs) in signalling, control and telecommunications systems
The surge protective device basically consists of a series connection of varistor and gas discharge tube between the signal wires and earth. In addition to the nominal voltage, the continuous and short-time interference voltage must also be taken into account. The combination of BLITZDUCTORconnect and DEHNbloc Maxi is the optimum solution for safely controlling these. Transient lightning and surges are controlled, as is the influence on the overhead contact line.
Your big advantage: maximum space saving thanks to the width of just 6 mm per pair of the BLITZDUCTORconnect devices.
