The challenge
Outdoor switching stations, indoor switchgear installations and compensation coils must be checked regularly and their condition documented.
Precise fault location makes it easier to assess the urgency of a repair and simplifies planning.
For cost reasons, this work was to be carried out during ongoing operations.
The solution
The wireless inspection camera is used in all applications during ongoing operation.
In the case of outdoor switching stations, the insulators, connections and contacts are inspected and the transitions from insulator to insulator are checked.
In the case of indoor switchgear installations, the connection contacts on the high-voltage coupling switch are checked and the condition documented.
In the case of compensation coils, the camera enables precise fault location.
The advantage:
the exact amount and type of material required for a repair can be calculated in advance.
