Smart and safe with DEHN

The sustainable use of resources requires the intelligent and sustainable generation, distribution and use of energy. This includes protection of the associated systems and plants.

At “The Smarter E Europe“ (hall B3, booth 372) - the most important industry platform which takes place from May 15 to May 17 in Munich - we will demonstrate how to protect systems against lightning-related surges and safely handle electrical energy.

The event brings together four exhibitions under one roof: Intersolar, Power2Drive, ees and EM-Power, making it the largest energy trade fair in Europe.

Under the motto “DEHN protects.“, DEHN will present innovative protection solutions for photovoltaic systems, smart grids, battery storage systems and e-mobility, irrespective of the plant size. Based on practical protection solutions, the DEHN experts will explain how lightning and surge protection can increase the availability of photovoltaic systems, including the grid infrastructure and battery storage systems, or the e-mobility charging infrastructure.

The use of renewable energy sources is growing at a tremendous pace, a development that is presenting grids with new challenges such as: How to protect systems in case of lightning interference or surges resulting from switching operations today and in the future. DEHN’s protection solutions, which combine both proven and innovative new products with comprehensive services, provide the right answer to these challenges. DEHN protects rooftop systems in the private sector and large PV power plants with storage systems from malfunctions and downtime caused by lightning currents and surges. Moreover, DEHN’s safety equipment portfolio includes products for personal and plant protection which allow the safe handling of energy.

Reliability and safety take top priority in the still young e-mobility market. The charging infrastructure and electric vehicles need to be protected from costly damage caused by lightning interference and surges to meet the requirements of the IEC 60364-4-44 standard. The DEHN experts at the fair will inform you about the implications of the new IEC 60364-7-722 standard for the protection of the charging infrastructure.

The made-to-measure protection concepts from DEHN also ensure that battery storage systems reliably fulfil tasks in smart grids such as peak shaving, energy management and consistency of the power quality even in case of lightning currents and surges.

A global network of 23 subsidiaries and sales partners in more than 70 countries ensures the transfer of know-how, marketing and distribution of products and service. DEHN not only offers a broad portfolio, but also a team of experienced experts. The range of services includes risk analysis, engineering and test services as well as protection concepts for plants. DEHN’s expertise and experience help you to find an appropriate and future-oriented protection solution or to optimise existing Solutions.
