The PPE against arc faults does not constitute electrically insulating protective clothing for work on low-voltage installations according to EN 50286.
According to the risk assessment to be carried out, the PPE against arc faults is used for work on electrical switchgear assemblies. Direct contact with live parts is not considered. According to DGUV-I 203-077, this would mean that arc fault protection is not ensured without keeping a safe distance from live parts.
Yes, each garment must be washed before it is used for the first time, for example in a standard washing machine up to 60°.
Detailed care instructions, such as avoiding fabric softeners, can be found on the care label directly in the garment and in the user information.
External washing by a service provider is also possible. Please contact us if applicable.
The outdoor clothing must be professionally impregnated in order to reduce moisture absorption at the seams. We recommend using a spray impregnation which is applied on the outside surface. The garment remains breathable and sweat absorbent.
According to previous findings, damp clothing exhibits no negative effects on the protective function.
Because of the reflective strips, only minimal shortening of the trouser leg or sleeve is possible. This may only be carried out by qualified companies and only with the original components.
