BLITZDUCTORconnect
DEHN protects measuring and control systems

BLITZDUCTORconnect

Easy. Safe. Robust.

The universal combined arrester BLITZDUCTORconnect protects measuring and control circuits as well as bus and telecommunication systems from damage caused by lightning and surges.

With a high lightning current (10/350µs) discharge capacity of 3 kA (total) and low protection levels, this new generation of devices is ideally suited for the protection of terminal devices.

You need to reliably protect automation and measuring and control systems in an industrial environment?

You are sure to find exactly the right arrester for your specific requirements in the wide variety of BLITZDUCTORconnect devices. You can protect intrinsically safe signal circuits with the special Ex-approved range of arresters.

Installation is this easy

Mounted in 5 steps.

  • BLITZDUCTORconnect

    Easy. Safe. Robust.

  • BLITZDUCTORconnect Installation Schritt 1
Step 1 - Clip the arrester onto the DIN rail

    Step 1

Clip the combined lightning current and surge arrester BLITZDUCTORconnect onto the DIN rail.

  • BLITZDUCTORconnect Installation Schritt 2
Step 2 - Connect the lines from outside

    Step 2

Now connect the lines from outside to the unprotected side of the BLITZDUCTORconnect.

The rigid lines are connected directly to the arrester thanks to push-in technology.

  • BLITZDUCTORconnect Installation Schritt 3
Step 3 - Connect lines to the system

    Step 3

Connect the lines of the system to the protected side of BLITZDUCTORconnect. The right side is clearly marked protected.

To connect flexible lines, press the grey push-in button with the help of a screwdriver.

  • BLITZDUCTORconnect Installation Schritt 4
Step 4 - Clip on the remote signalling unit

    Step 4

Now clip the remote signalling unit onto the DIN rail.

The 24 V power supply and break contact for the remote signalling function are connected via the grey push-in button of the arrester.

The reverse unit is simply clipped onto the DIN rail. Because this is a passive component, absolutely no wiring is required.

  • BLITZDUCTORconnect Installation Schritt 5
Step 5 - Activate the remote signalling unit

    Step 5

By switching on the power supply, you put the remote signalling into operation.

The LED display on the unit lights up red. After a few seconds, it switches to green - now your system is safe and protected.
